REACH USGraduated in 2023 with a PhD in Social Work- concentration in mental health disparities. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at El Paso and a licensed supervisor in the State of Texas.
Dr. Viridiana Ortiz, PhD, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor in Texas (LCSW-S) and a Certified Family Trauma Professional (CFTP). She graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2015 with a master’s degree in Social Work, with a clinical and medical social work concentration. Dr. Viridiana has been providing psychotherapy services to clients of all ages. She assists clients in coping with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma. She utilizes a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, EMDR, CPT, anger management, and mindfulness to promote healing and desired change in a unique, gentle and respectful manner.
She has also completed intensive training in Trauma-Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with the Indian Country Child Trauma Center with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. In addition to her work in psychotherapy, Dr. Viridiana, PhD, has experience in social work and support services to various populations and is a social work faculty professor at the University of Texas at El Paso. Dr. Viridiana is expected to graduate in 2023 with her Ph.D. in Social Work. She is the founder and Clinical Director of Mind Forward Health Center in El Paso, TX.
CONTACTDr. Roberto Flores, MD is a native of our border complex, being completely bilingual and bicultural, Dr. Flores understands the idiosyncrasies of our communities like no other. Dr. Flores has an extensive experience in both the inpatient and outpatient settings within Psychiatry, he is an expert in treating Anxiety, Mood disorders, PTSD and severe mental illnesses, including substance use disorders.
Dr. Flores is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, holds Assistant Clinical Professorships of Psychiatry at Texas Tech University at El Paso, Texas and Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine at Las Cruces, NM. Dr. Flores is active in promoting mental health issues, lecturing at the local universities and community college and through his social media portals.
